Die Zahnextraktion ist ein gängiger zahnärztlicher Eingriff, bei dem ein Zahn aus dem Kieferknochen entfernt wird, wenn er nicht mehr erhalten werden kann. Eine Zahnextraktion kann auch notwendig sein, um die allgemeine Mundgesundheit zu schützen. Bei New Look Smile wird die Zahnextraktion von unseren erfahrenen Zahnärzten durchgeführt.
Der Prozess der Zahnextraktion beginnt mit der Verabreichung einer lokalen Betäubung, um den Behandlungsbereich zu betäuben und den Eingriff für den Patienten schmerzfrei zu machen. Erst wenn die Region vollständig betäubt ist, wird der Zahn mithilfe spezieller zahnärztlicher Instrumente gelockert und entfernt.
In Fällen, in denen der Zahn retiniert, gebrochen oder schwer zugänglich ist – wie zum Beispiel bei Weisheitszähnen – kann eine chirurgische Extraktion erforderlich sein. Dabei kann es notwendig sein, den Zahn in mehrere Teile zu trennen, um ihn leichter zu entfernen. Nach der Entfernung wird die Mundhöhle gereinigt und bei Bedarf vernäht.
