Le processus de pose d’un pont dentaire commence par la préparation des dents situées de part et d’autre de l’espace laissé par les dents manquantes. Ces dents, appelées dents piliers, sont façonnées afin de supporter solidement le pont dentaire fixe.
Des empreintes sont ensuite prises pour concevoir le pont dentaire. Ce pont, spécialement fabriqué, se compose de dents artificielles maintenues par des couronnes dentaires. Il est réalisé dans un laboratoire dentaire spécialisé, en respectant la couleur, la forme et la taille de vos dents naturelles. Une fois terminé, le pont est solidement cimenté sur les dents afin de rétablir les fonctions normales de mastication, de parole et de sourire.
